Your health information is personal. Here is exactly what we collect, why we need it, who sees it and how you stay in control.

1. Who we are
Bites Of Wellness Pvt. Ltd. (“Bites Of Wellness”, “we”) runs this website, our app and our coaching plans. We decide how your personal data is used, so under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) we are the “data fiduciary”. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
2. What we collect
- Contact details: name, mobile number, email and city, when you book a consultation, subscribe or comment.
- Health and lifestyle information: age, gender, height, weight, measurements, medical conditions, medication, reports you share, food preferences, activity and sleep. We collect this only for members and people who book a consultation.
- Plan and app activity: meal logs, progress photos you choose to upload, messages with your coach and session notes.
- Payment records: what you bought and when. Card and UPI details are handled by our payment partner. We don't see or store them.
- Technical data: device and browser type, pages visited and approximate location, from cookies and similar tools.
The BMI and macro calculators on this site work entirely in your browser. What you type there is not sent to us.
3. Why we use it
- To call you back about your consultation and recommend a suitable plan.
- To build, update and track your personal diet and fitness plan.
- To let your coach, and a doctor if your plan includes one, review your reports and progress.
- To process payments, send receipts and give customer support.
- To send recipes and offers, only if you have agreed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To keep the Service secure, fix problems and understand which pages are useful.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.
4. Your consent
We use your personal data based on the consent you give when you book, buy a plan or sign up, and for the legitimate uses the DPDP Act allows, such as meeting legal obligations. Health information is used only to provide your plan. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to us. We will then stop using your data, though we may no longer be able to provide your plan.
5. Who we share it with
We never sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Your assigned coach, trainer and, where your plan includes one, a doctor.
- Service providers who work for us under contract: hosting, the app platform, payments, messaging (WhatsApp and SMS) and email. They may use it only to provide their service to us.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Member stories, photos and quotes are published only with the member's written permission, and can be removed on request.
6. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies to make the site work, and analytics cookies to see how pages are used so we can improve them. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without analytics cookies. Our Instagram section shows posts from our own account and does not track you on our site.
7. How we protect it
Data is encrypted in transit and stored with providers that follow recognised security standards. Only staff who need it for your plan can see your health information. If a personal data breach happens, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the DPDP Act requires.
8. How long we keep it
We keep member records while your plan is active and for up to 3 years after it ends, so we can support you if you return. We then delete or anonymise it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer (for example tax records). Consultation enquiries that don't become plans are deleted after 12 months.
9. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you and how it is used.
- Ask us to correct, complete or update it.
- Ask us to delete it, when it is no longer needed for the purpose you gave it.
- Withdraw consent, including for marketing messages.
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to.
- Complain to us, and then to the Data Protection Board of India if you aren't satisfied.
To use any of these rights, email hello@bitesofwellness.example. We reply within 30 days.
10. Children
The Service is for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 without verifiable consent from a parent or guardian. If you think a child has given us their data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Grievance officer
For privacy questions or complaints, contact our Grievance Officer at hello@bitesofwellness.example or +91 90000 00000. We aim to resolve complaints within 30 days.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If we make a significant change to how we use your health data, we will tell you before it applies. See also our Terms and Conditions.
